Centro Yolitia’s Texas Clinical Supervision Training Program is a comprehensive 40-clock-hour program for licensed clinicians seeking to develop their supervisory competencies and pursue Texas Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) status. The curriculum is designed to meet the supervisor training requirements outlined in 22 TAC §681.147 and prepare participants to provide effective, ethical, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate clinical supervision.

Participants will learn to assess supervisees’ needs, select appropriate supervisory interventions, and address the relational, cultural, and systemic factors that influence supervision. The training emphasizes effective supervisory relationships, counselor development, and structured practices across individual, group, and technology-assisted supervision.

Texas standards of practice, ethics, and legal and professional responsibilities are integrated throughout the curriculum, with particular attention to 22 TAC Chapter 681, Subchapters B and C, including §§681.91–681.93. Instruction covers supervision models, methods, and techniques; multicultural supervision; evaluation and remediation; and administrative responsibilities, including supervision plans, contracts, record-keeping, and reporting.

Participants must complete all required coursework and assignments within 90 days. Completion of the program fulfills the training requirement only and does not automatically confer Texas LPC-S status. Applicants must also meet the applicable eligibility requirements, submit the required application and documentation, and obtain approval from the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council before supervising Texas LPC Associates.
